Lee Bates
Staffordshire County Council Member for Watling South
Tamworth Borough Member for Trinity Ward

Cllr Lee Bates is an advocate of PACT (Partners & Communities Together) Resident meetings which are held once a month both in Wilnecote Ward and Trinity Ward (Dosthill & Two Gates).   The meetings are attended by key agencies that work in our communities for example the police, streetwardens, councillors at borough and county levels, as well as others.  The idea of the meetings is for residents to raise with the agencies their 3 top issues that they would like solving or looked into over the coming month, it is then up to the agencies to look at the issues and bring a report back to the following meeting of actions taken on behalf of the residents.

PACT was introduced to Tamworth in 2006 and now has a PACT meeting in every ward in the borough.   The Wilnecote Ward and Trinity Ward PACTS are attended regularly by around 15/20 residents and the meetings last about 1 hour.

Cllr Lee Bates said “I think PACT is a great way residents can raise issues in their communities and meet the different agencies, they can raise issues in the main body of the meeting or speak to individual people after so I urge residents to come along and support PACT Trinity and Wilnecote Wards.”

The next Trinity Ward (Two Gates & Dosthill) PACT is on Thursday 24th June 2010 at 7pm The Norman Chapel Church, Church Road Dosthill.

The next Wilnecote Ward PACT is on Wednesday 30th June 2010 at 7pm Wilnecote High School, Tinkers Green Road, Wilnecote
