Wednesday 19th August 2009 Saw a joint operation team work for the Tinkers Green Road Council Housing estate put together by the Tamworth Borough Council housing department.

The day saw Housing, police, fire Service, Neighbourhood Watch, street wardens, street scene, home start, councillors and local tenants pull together for  the community.

Activities included a clean up of the area, advice given to residents from various agencies, a raffle, a garden competition, fire engine and many more all making the day a resounding success for all involved and more importantly for local residents who engaged with the various agencies.

County Councillor Lee Bates said “ This was a team  effort by all concerned and I was proud to attend as part of that team.   Operations such as this help raise awareness in the community on what is available to local tenants bur also to build relationships in the community with the various agencies that took part.”
