Wilnecotes 1st community fun day in a many year took off on Sunday 23rd August and was a success with all those who attended and took part in the day’s activities. The event put together by local residents for local residents saw over 400 local people come through the gates to experience the community spirit that was in abundance.
The day’s events included a performance by a local street dancing club, toddler races,
mom & dad races with the dad’s race being won by 83 year old resident Geoff, and
a dance routine by the local Happy Feet Dancers. Stalls included the 3rd Wilnecote
Scouts, Wilnecote Youth Centre, County Air Ambulance, The Retired Grey Hounds, N.S.P.C.C,

After the success of the day the committee have announced that they plan to do the fun day as a yearly event for the community. Committee members include Chairperson Lisa Powers, Secretary Tina Clements, Committee Members Andy Powers, Carol Gee, Bernard Gee, Emma Gee, Paul Gee & youth members Kirsty & Oliver.
