In the Herald News paper there was a letter recently encouraging residents who live
along the 80A and 80C bus route to use it or be faced with the possibility of loosing
it. Cllr Lee Bates along with local residents mounted a petition to get this service
back in the local community after the service was withdrawn it left the watling street
without a service.
The service links The Robert Peel Hospital, in Fazeley, as well as Ventura Park,
with Belgrave, Wilnecote, the old A5 Wilnecote, Watling Street, Stonydelph, Amington
and Glascote Heath. It's an excellent service but it has been reported to be greatly
under-used.
Cllr Lee Bates said “ I would encourage residents to give this service a try, many
residents, elderly and disabled residents fought hard to get the service returned
along the A5 Watling Street and it would be a great shame to lose this service because
it would be missed. So let's use it or we may lose it again”.
